Sometimes, I like to switch things up in the kitchen :)
Like using beef sauce for pork!
Even though some sauces may indicate its use (usually for specific types of meat), you can always use it however you want to.
So, if you can't eat pork, you can substitute it for chicken :)
Ingredients:
- Pork (or your choice of meat) *I used 2 packs pork cubes I bought from the grocery store.
- White radish, cut into small cubes *you can use potatoes instead
- Garlic, sliced
- Onions, thinly sliced
- Spring onions, chopped into parts (approx. 5cm each)
- Korean potato starch noodles *or any type of glass noodles
- 100 ml water
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- Galbi sauce for beef (below is the sauce that I used)
Method:
1. In a fry pan, add a little oil and fry the garlic and onions until fragrant. At the same time, add water into a small pot and bring to a boil. Add in a handful of glass noodles. Remember to stir the noodles about once every 3 minutes to prevent them from sticking together.
2. Add in the pork/meat into the fry pan and the Galbi sauce; I used about 6 tablespoons.
3. When the noodles are 3/4 cooked, remove them from the pot and put them into cold water (this maintains its chewiness) and set aside.
4. Once the meat is 3/4 cooked, add in the white radishes and water. Then, after it is fully cooked, add in the spring onions and noodles and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
5. Before serving, add sesame oil and taste test~ :)
