Sometimes, I prefer cooking simple dishes for dinner.
It just brings this "home" feel to dinner time :)
This dish is also served at many (if not all) Chinese family restaurants and it's served alongside other dishes and white rice.
Ingredients:
- 1 pack (approx. 200g) Kai Lan, washed & ends cut off RM18
*You can buy as much kai lan as you want, just adjust the other ingredients :)
- Goji berries; a handful, rinsed & cleaned
- A whole garlic, sliced
- Shaoxing cooking wine RM20 per bottle
- Salt & white pepper to taste
Method:
1. On a large fry pan, add some oil and fry the garlic until slightly brown.
2. Add the kai lan and fry until nearly cooked.
3. Add in the goji berries, wine, salt, and pepper. Stir and simmer until medium-low heat for
3-5 minutes.
*The amount of wine varies. If you like the taste of Chinese wine, you may add more about 3-5 tbsp. You can also add only 1 tbsp. So it's really up to your preference :)
4. Taste test and it's ready to be served!
