Peri-Peri Beef Bowl

My new FAVORITE lunch meal!!

I came across this recipe on Michelle Choi's vlog (she's one of my fave YouTubers!!).

You can get the original recipe here.

For my version of it, I did not have Sriracha sauce and I wasn't sure of whether to get it in case if I don't like it then :/

So, I used Nando's Hot Peri-peri sauce instead. If you aren't a spicy fan, lemon & herb or garlic works just as well :)

*I've tried it with Nando's garlic peri-peri sauce as well, it's gooood~

Serving: 1 pax

Ingredients:

- Beef Steak Cut RM10

- Bell peppers RM10 for 3 in a pack

*This can last for 2-3 meals depending on the amount that you use.

- White rice (fresh or leftover)

- Limes

- Coriander, a handful

- Seasoning for meat (optional)

*I used a garlic and herb seasoning

- Nando's peri-peri sauce RM15 per bottle

- Oil for frying

Method:

1. Squeeze 1 whole lime on heated rice, add a handful of coriander (cut randomly into smaller pieces) and mix well.

2. On a fry pan, add a little oil and cook the bell peppers. I did not add any extra seasonings to them. Once cooked, add them to the rice bowl.

3. Without washing the pan, fry the beef and add any preferred extra seasonings. Some examples of what you can add: chili flakes or powder, steak marinate, garlic & herb, herbs, etc. Add the cooked beef to the rice bowl.

4. Pour the Nando's Peri-peri sauce and more corianders. It's ready to eat!

So simple yet so delicious!

You can swap beef for chicken, pork, seafood, hard tofu, or make it with just vegetables!

A good substitute would be cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, and brinjals :)

There are many ways that you can mix it up with this dish.

Hope you enjoyed this recipe!
